A friend commissioned this family portrait for her partner's tenth anniversary gift. To mix things up from the previous year's illustration, she was hoping for something based on playing cards that would incorporate some of that year's highlights (i.e. she shaved her head to raise money for cancer research; he got his FIRST smartphone; they both turned 30). The pets fill in the rest of the cards, the designs each matching their individual personalities. We took a few liberties with the technical definition of a full house, but that's what families are all about. amiright?
